Since 2009, Take Flight Inc. has provided services for children, youth and families throughout the Washington D.C, Maryland, and Virginia areas. Our services are centered around health & wellness, mental, physical and emotional well-being. Understanding the connection between physical, mental, and emotional health; two everyday stressors being health and money. Our programs focus on strengthening the knowledge of children, youth and families by building their knowledge and confidence in fitness and finance to ensure long-term success and health.
August 2009 – The organization was founded with an initial focus geared toward assisting low income families with financial education, workforce development and life skills.
June 2011 – Partnered with MD Choices and DC Choices to support youth with significant behavioral, educational and emotional challenges.
April 2012 – Partnered with Wraparound Maryland to provide services to youth and their families using the wraparound principles.
September 2014 – Working in partnership with Collaboration Council and Excel Beyond the Bell providing After-School Program in Montgomery County Schools.
March 2015 – Partnered with YMCA to provide services to families and youth in the Greater Washington DC area.
Spring 2016 – Expanded Athletic Performance and Personal Training services throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan Area.
September 2018 – Working in partnership with Excel Beyond The Bell, Collaboration Council and Montgomery County Recreation to provide After-School Programs in Montgomery County Schools.
The Man Behind Take Flight
Paul Williams is no stranger to the importance of health & wellness. As a certified personal trainer and a former Division 1 athlete, Paul knows firsthand the hard work that goes into keeping your body and mind right for competition and life. He aims to set the example for how adopting a healthy lifestyle can change lives mentally, physically, and spiritually. He has committed himself to a healthy life which he has used to battle through mental health and depression to become the impactful motivational force as the founder and director of Take Flight, mentor, financial educator, coach, and trainer.
