Our Mission is Your Mission

Take Flight is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 2009 our mission is to impact lives and empower communities through education and fitness. Take Flight Programs promote enhanced physical and financial wellness. We provide education and fitness programs for low-income communities. Health is just as important as finances and exercise is the key to longer lasting energy. This is why daily exercise is one of the top habits implemented by some of the world’s most successful people.

We Are Take Flight

Our programs are also designed to help all meet personal fitness goals of being a superior student athlete, building strength and muscle, losing weight, or helping to relieve stress to improve mental health. Our goals are 1) to support students in developing positivity and behaviors that will promote a healthy lifestyle, and 2) to help close the achievement gap by reducing personal, social and physiological barriers to success.

Our Executive Director Paul Williams is also a Premier Strength & Agility Coach in the DC Metropolitan area. For the past 5 years, he has designed custom training programs for Professional, Collegiate, and High School Athletes for various sports including basketball, football, track and field, baseball, and soccer. Paul specializes in improving speed, explosiveness and strength, which has helped hundreds of athletes take their game to insurmountable levels. His program continues to grow as more and more top tier athletes pile in looking to enhance their speed, agility, explosiveness, endurance, and flexibility; which in turn decrease the chances of injury and increases an athletes career.
